When Aurora Vineyard was planted in 1991, a portion of the site was planted to true Pinot blanc. Finding the varietal does so well in the cool Willamette Valley, the winery has produced a small amount ever since.
"Beautiful aromas of clementine, lemongrass, kaffir lime and candied kumquat waft from this nose full of citrus and botanicals. The mouth shows more vanilla and marzipan flavors mingled with frangipane and lychee notes. There is a thread of salinity running througout tinged with dried pineapple and juicy acidity to balance the fruit sweetness."
